Who we are

Fluxki is a typing improvement tool available at fluxki.com. We help you identify the specific keys and patterns slowing your typing down and provide a personalised daily plan to fix them. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Data we collect

If you use Fluxki without an account

Your typing session results, assessment data, and settings are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data removes it permanently.

If you sign in with Google

We receive your Google account name, email address, and profile photo from Google and store them in our database (Firebase Firestore). We use this to identify your account and display your name in the app. We also store your typing session results and lesson progress in Firestore so your data is available across devices.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use Fluxki — for example, how many users complete the assessment or start a session. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device to collect this information. The data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

How we use your data

We use your data only to provide and improve the Fluxki service:

  • To identify your weak keys and patterns and build your personalised session
  • To track your progress over time and show your improvement
  • To save your lesson progress in the touch typing course
  • To understand which features are used so we can improve the product

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data to third parties
  • We do not share your data with advertisers
  • We do not record the content of what you type — only keystroke accuracy and timing
  • We do not use your data to train AI models

Third-party services

Fluxki uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:

  • Firebase and Firestore — database and authentication infrastructure provided by Google
  • Google Sign-In — used for account creation and login
  • Google Analytics — used for anonymous usage analytics

Cookies

Fluxki uses cookies for two purposes: to keep you signed in to your account (via Firebase Authentication), and to collect anonymous usage analytics (via Google Analytics). If you use Fluxki without signing in, only the Google Analytics cookie is set. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect how the app functions.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below and we will process your request within 30 days.

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Guest data stored in localStorage is retained until you clear your browser data. If you request account deletion, we remove your data from our servers within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Fluxki after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
